Reports were made within the same week stating that three swimmers were attacked in the area. Since there has been a lot of attacks lately officials have closed down the park temporarily. The park was closed from December fifteenth to December eighteen and now has been reopened, but the officials have warned those who wish to swim there. One swimmer was bitten in the arm by a sea lion and the San Francisco police department's Marine unit applied tourniquet to the swimmers are before took into the hospital. The second swimmer was bitten in the groin and the third swimmer was bitten, but they were minor bites. As of now they are unaware what are causing sea lions to attack, but many do need to keep in mind that the sea lions are wild animals as well.

http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2017/12/13/heartbreaking-video-starving-polar-bear-stirs-controversy-among-conservationists.htmlA video of a starving polar bear has recently went viral and has been seen by millions. The polar bear was spotted by national geographic photographer Paul Nicklen who saw the polar bear on Baffin Islands in Canada in late August. The video shows the polar bear roaming through trash. In which the video is used to be seen as climate change and the affect on animals and weather. Many viewers who saw the video were shocked to see such a skinny starving bear, but for Nicklen it's not the first time he has. As the temperatures rise and sea melts they lose their main source of food seals. The bears that are most at risk are the ones who live in areas like Baffin Island or have seasonal ice at times which there will be more of a decline. Many polar bears must depend and survive on their fat alone. However, climate change does have a real huge affect and threat on polar bears.
http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017/11/29/raccoon-found-with-jar-stuck-on-its-head-in-florida.htmlA raccoon was spotted in a situation on Tuesday in Florida with a jar stuck to it's head. The raccoon was captured on video climbing the tree as it had a jar stuck over it's head. As it climbed the tree it tried to take the jar off it's head by it self. The raccoon tended to stop numerous times as it climbed up the tree in attempt to remove it. When the jar wouldn't come off the raccoon tried to lick the inside of the jar. One person who saw the raccoon at the time of the recording advised people to back up and not remove the jar from the raccoon. Due to the fact it can worsen the problem with the jar. As of now the raccoon is still on the loose and it's unknown if the raccoon was able to remove the jar from it's head. This clearly is not a good situation the raccoon is in because it shouldn't be living with a jar on it's head. It's probably uncomfortable and hurts the raccoon. The way the raccoon got the jar stuck to it's head is unclear, but more than likely it was probably due to littering.
http://www.foxnews.com/science/slideshow/2017/12/05/graphic-photos-show-bloody-faroe-islands-whale-hunts.html#/slide/whale-huntVolunteer from an ocean conservation group took a trip to Faroe Island and imposed as tourist. What they found when they got to the Island was disgustingly brutal. When the tourist saw the Faroe Island it had whales everywhere and it the island was filled with blood almost everywhere. Now whales aren't the only ones who were brutally spread across the island, but also Atlantic White Sided dolphins were awfully slaughtered. As the volunteers where at Faroe Island documented and saw nine different Sea shepherded hunts. Within the mine hunts it killed a total of 198 dolphins and 436 pilot whales. The Faroe government sees no harm in hunting the whales and dolphins. Instead they say the meat and blubber of the pilot whales have been a value to the Faroe's national diet. According to the government about 1.700 pilot whales have been caught so far this year. The authorities say the hunting of the whales is sustainable. Once again the government in Faroe says that the population in Eastern North Atlantic is around 778,000, but there is a 100,000 found in the Faroe's area.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2017/11/171102180520.htmCities continue to grow and build more as our population becomes larger and larger. Many might not think to much about the things that are surrounding the places they build on to how it will affect many things as well. There is high concerns regarding cities and how it's possibly affecting our environment and animals. Especially in New York City where the populations constantly increasing it's causing some issues. For example many of the mice and rats are being affected. Many might not care or even think twice about these little creatures, but they are a huge part in our ecosystem believe it or not. They might give many people the creeps or they might think they are creepy ugly nasty rats. However, maybe that's true about the rats, but as more and more cities grow they are facing danger. As, the cities expand they might be running out the animals that live or live near the cities.

http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017/10/25/this-bears-tongue-weighed-as-much-as-newborn-human.htmlAn Asiatic bear also, known a moon bear has a tongue that weighs about seven pounds.Seven pounds may not seem like a lot, but it is when you realize it is the same weight as a newborn baby. The bear has had this tongue weighing this much for a month. By having seven pounds in it's mouth it was unable to close it's mouth and his tongue would tend to drag on the floor. With the tongue always bringing the bear down it would make his very tired fast and he would always rest his head on the side of the cage.Heather Bacon a veterinarian believes the reason for the tongue weighing so much is the fact that it can be genetic or a form of elephantiasis caused by infection. Not long before under going surgery that took four hours last year the bear went through surgery last in which tissue was removed to reduce swelling. However, the swelling did come back worse. Luckily the bear is adjusting day to day and is now able to live a life without seven pounds in his mouth stopping him.
